The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, meanwhile, continues advising Americans not to travel internationally until they are fully inoculated against Covid-19. But visitors to many European nations - including the Netherlands and Denmark - will continue to encounter Covid-related restrictions, including the closure of nightclubs and limited service at restaurants and bars. Most European countries allow entry to vaccinated Americans, and some, including the United Kingdom, Ireland and Switzerland, have recently announced plans to relax their testing requirements for travelers. Others, including Japan and Morocco, have temporarily closed their borders to foreign travelers in an effort to contain the virus’s spread. Most of the world’s countries are open to travelers from the United States, but as the Omicron variant drives record-breaking case numbers in many parts of the world, a number of countries have tightened their requirements for visitors to test or quarantine.
